Jose Luis Vallejo continues to defy the odds. Few would imagine this young man would graduate from college in three years, during a time when five years for a bachelor's degree has become the norm. Not only did Jose accomplish this milestone, but at the elite Yale University. This ABC graduate is both a scholar and an athlete, endeavoring to continue his climb to greatness inside the ring.

As a member of the ABC Youth Foundation Board of Directors, Jose makes it his mission to utilize the strengths that God has given him for the good of those who follow in his footsteps. He works daily with Instructor Moore in the leadership of the ABC Youth Foundation, ensuring that future generations of ABC students can achieve their greatest potential. Josť Luis Vallejo Jr. is currently employed with City Link Investment Corporation. He also is actively working to advance the Barrio Logan College Institute (BLCI), an outstanding non-profit that has been highly instrumental in his academic and personal growth. He currently resides in San Diego, CA and is proud to have two younger siblings (Edward Vallejo and Julie Vallejo) that are products of ABC and BLCI. A younger sibling, Juan David, is a future ABC candidate.

LeMar Slater is a testament to the effectiveness of ABC on young minds. Born in San Diego, LeMar benefited not only from ABC Boxing as taught by Instructor Billy Moore, but also the Ole Mongoose himself, World Champion of the Ring, and ABC creator, Archie Moore. Receiving this powerful training as a youth, LeMar was able to navigate schools and neighborhoods where gangs and drug activity were the norms and graduated as a class valedictorian.

LeMar studied in the shadows of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., at historic Morehouse College, a school with a rich tradition of producing men who are leaders with integrity. As an honors graduate of Mathematics and an instructor, LeMar has returned to his home in San Diego to continue to the legacy of ABC.

LeMar Slater is currently enrolled in graduate studies at San Diego State University. He has taught courses at La Jolla Country Day School, UCSD High School AVID Summer Sessions, and the Southern Sudanese Community Center. He is an active member of Bethel Baptist Church and is proud to have as a younger brother, Mr. Leroy Slater, as both a fellow ABC and Morehouse Graduate.

ABC Graduate Stephen Pierce is very active in youth and community events. Since 1998, Steve has promoted, produced, and marketed the NFL Pro-Bowl and Superbowl galas and the NFL Retired Players convention. Steveís event planning talents make him the natural choice to raise funds to meet his Foundationís goals, through events such as The California Classic Challenge.
